My First Interview:-
1. Preparations
- How
did I approach people? When, where, and how did I conduct and record the
interview?
questions. In the beginning,
I want to five people and no one of them accepts the recording idea. In the end
I found a girl from Nepal she was very friendly with me. I met her on the
library on the first floor she was sating by the computer. She was so welcome
and she knows some of my friends.
- Whom
did I interview?
Her name is Ahu T. she is
from Nepal. She is student at University of ST. Cloud. She is majoring computer
science. She came to United States of America in 2010. She is living with her
sister and brother. The best hoppy for her is reading a book.
- Describe
the interview. What did surprise me?
The interview was wonderful
because she was friendly with me. I can say it was short well enough
conversation between us. She surprised me when she said that in Nepal no one
can start conversation with someone, but you should know the person who speaks
with you to start your conversation.
2- Country report:-
Let’s start by Nepal flag.
Nepal flag means the sun and moon which faced people in the past, but they
changed it for little in 1962. Also, the Nepalese people believe that Nepal
will stay until the sun and moon will disappear. So, that’s why they put the
sun and the moon on their flag. (Link #3)

Government:-
In Nov. 1990, King Birendra made new
constitution and introduced a multiparty parliamentary democracy. Nepal
government was king’s power, but in 2006 people pushed the government to change
the government policy. In 2007 they changed the government policy from king’s
power to a federal democratic republic. (Link #1)
- Geography:-
Nepal is located in South Asia, and it is landlocked. The
capital city of Nepal is Kathmandu. India is neighbor with Nepal from three
side and with China from the north. The size of Nepal is 140,800 square
kilometers. The population
of Nepal in 2012 is It 27.47 million (2012). It has over than 600 rivers. The
Himalayas is the highest mountain in the world, and it about (29,035 FT; 8,850 M). (link #4)

I want to move to another state such as Taxes because the weather in MN is so
boring. No one can have an idea about the real weather for today or tomorrow.

you mean by which language??
M- No, for example in my country
can talk to anyone even if I don’t know him very well, but in United States of
America you should know the person to start small conversation.
A- In
Nepal we have the same believe as United States of America. You should know the
person well before you start your conversation.

What
is the clothing style for men and women?
A- Man
wear Jeans and T-shirt, women wear skirt and dress. However, we have
traditional clothing such as Daura Suruwal for men, and Sani for women.

How
are women and men treated differently?
A- They
are not equal in many ways such as job, salary, rights, and believe.

How
has your experience here helped you interpret and respect cultural differences?
A- I
like this question, America is the first one who makes me responsible for
myself and makes me choose the best step to claim and this opportunity build
another person no as the one who was in Nepal.

Do
you enjoy speaking with other exchange students?
A- Yes,
my friends in Saint Cloud are the international students. I love to have
friendship with international students because that may help me to have enough
knowledge about world’s culture.

How
long have you been in the United States?
A- I
have been in United State of America since 2010.
12-
Have
you been able to visit any other parts of the United States?
A- Yes,
I went to Taxes, Florida, and New York. The best place which I had visit is Taxes.

What
are your home country’s major religions?
A- Hinduism, Buddhism, Tantrums, Islam, and Christianity. The Hinduism
and the Buddhism has the highest number of people who are believing them.
14-
What
influenced you to come to the United States? Especially, Saint Cloud State?
A- Actually
my sister and brother are in Saint Cloud, so that’s why I came to Saint Cloud.
